To help with the launch of the new look Business Mums Magazine, we have created the "What Mums Want" promotion.

What is it?

The What Mums Want promotion is a competition for subscribers of the Business Mums Magazine to enter where they win some amazing prizes - essentially "stuff" that Mums want, from business resources and equipment to pampering and cleaning to toys for the kids.

What is in it for me?

Exposure! For all our alliance partners who come on board, we will give you promotion through this website and our Facebook fan page and Twitter account. We will also be creating a special insert to include with the magazine with your logo and details on it so you can get directly in front of your target market

In exchange for being involved, we would like to give you the following:

• 1/8 page ad in the Business Mums Magazine over 2 issues - valued at $132 each 
• Gold listing in our online directory - valued at $149
• Banner ad on the Business Mums Magazine website - valued at $300

This is over $700 worth of advertising for your business.

What do you want from me?

The biggest thing we need right now is magazine subscribers and promotion so more people know the magazine exists. The normal price of a magazine subscription is only $30 for a year. So, what we want from you is:

• 10 new magazine subscribers - to make this easier for you, we will give you a unique code to pass on to your database and customers giving them $10 off a subscription, plus they still get the bonus gift we have for subscribers! You can either pass on the code to your customers, or buy the subscriptions yourself to give away. (Note: you need to get these 10 subscribers to get your details in the special insert)
• A prize to add to our prize pool - if you want to give us more than 1, that would be awesome too
• Promotion of the magazine and the competition to your database

Other details - ie the fine print

Yes, there are a few more things you need to know.

• All prizes must be unique and specific - for example, we don't want to be giving away 5 vouchers for logo design, we would prefer one for a logo, one for business card design, and so on
• All prizes must be family friendly - if it's not the sort of thing I want in my home, we won't accept it
• There will be a first, second and third prize - each will be different. We are doing this so there are only 3 prizes, rather than lots of little ones.
• Depending on how many prizes we get, we are planning to do a weekly prize draw of smaller prizes - giving you more exposure and giving entrants more chances of winning
• You need to get the 10 magazine subscribers on board before the end of February to be eligible for the advertising
• The competition will be open for 1 week from the start of March

Competition entries

Just so it's here so you don't need to ask... entry will be open to all Australian subscribers of the Business Mums Magazine. To enter, we will ask participants to tell us in 25 words or less why they would like to win these prizes. If you are a partner, you can enter too, however you won't be eligible for the main prizes, just the weekly ones.
